No, this isn’t a post on the current, sad state of gaming on the Wii. Of course I do miss Link, and the latest Zelda installment is still the last truly good game I’ve played on the Wii (which I could have just played on my Game Cube), but I digress.
I just thought I’d point out that my sidebar links have been changed a bit. I’ve added a couple things that I find myself visiting regularly. I also took this opportunity to separate some of the wheat from the chaff. I’d like to take a moment to speak to those of you that have been asked to leave.
GoNintendo - Hey, GoNintendo, I’m bored. I don’t need 16 links to reviews of Red Steel and Excite Truck. I know you’re a Nintendo fan site, but puhh-lease! I can only stand to hear the argument of “friend codes vs. no friend codes” so many times before my head collapses in on itself like a dying star. Wake me when a Wii title worthy of purchase hits the streets (and no, virtual console games don’t count).
GamesAreFun - Actually, you guys aren’t that bad, but Sony bashing can only take you so far. Wake me when games actually are fun again.
Threadless - More like threadbare. You guys have some great designs coming in from some awesome artists, but what’s up with the quality of these shirts? If I had to create a word to describe this situation, I’d choose “sugs.” Wake me when you dump Fruit of the Loom and go strictly American Apparel. I may have to recant this particular rant for just a moment because that Patchwork design is sooo tempting.
Del.ici.ous and Imageshack - Sorry, I needed the space.
bring the noise, money. i love when you tell it like it is. dying star, so good. you got what i need. which couldn’t (sadly) be more obvious, as i’m here at 1am. i’ll be back in a few hours. ‘night.
Yeah homes, Patchwork is where it’s at. Yo have you ever seen Maya Hayuk’s work?
She’s got a t-shirt in there, I think you’d really dig her stuff. She did the Savath & Savalas cover for “Mananas”, a really nice print for Devendra Banhart with Bunny Brains. But mostly she does a lot of murals, installations and paintings.
hey, did you guys think about the 23rd at all? Let me know if you want to come.
Rubens, I’d love to be there on the 23rd, but a Friday afternoon trek to the city might be a little tricky for us with Linus.
I mentioned it to Heather, but her face looked as though she had just remembered what lemons taste like.
Pardon for the pushiness. We just miss you guys and know that you guys would dig the night as well as the art + music.
If anything changes, babysitter, etc… Let me know.
We want to take Gali but we all have an after party to go to with the studio heads, so I think we’re opting for a babysitter aka moms. If there weren’t an after party Gali’d probably be there.
Peace + love…
But I understand brother, if you guys can’t no worries.
We might just have to do some work on your elbows with a palm sander.
