Goodbye Tokyo

I finally completed the last photoset of my photos from Tokyo. These are from day six which was our last full day. Most of the photos were taken at the Meiji-Jingu shrine near Harajuku. The shrine is the largest in Tokyo and sits in the middle of 175 acres of forest near the heart of the city. It’s really a surreal feeling to walk into a forest in the middle of a modern metropolis.

Tak also treated us to sushi later that evening back in Shinjuku. The day was truly bittersweet. We saw some of of the most beautiful sights that day, but we carried the burden of knowing that our time there was ending.

those shots are filled to the brim with delight. now i see why you were looking through a view-finder for the majority of the time we were there.
the park was definitely a great idea. next time [next time!] we need to do more of that; sight-seeing and doing things we normally wouldn’t [unlike shopping].

These were the one I’d been looking for. Gorgeous, bro! That shrine door just made me wanna get out of work and go paint.
I heard the words “next time”, maybe you guys would be down with a miniature Brazilian coming along…

Branden , did you go see Broken Social Scene last night? I’m sorry I couldn’t go ($ reasons + I was stranded home).

    Dang, I can’t write… “These were the one”S” I’d been looking for …”

Oh I also dig the ones from the minikon show a lot.

I’d definitely be down with a mini-Brazilian tagging along. You can hop right into my knapsack.

I didn’t go to the show last night either. I couldn’t get anyone to go with me. Heather’s way too pregnant to be clubbin’ and I just wasn’t in the mood for going solo. Plus it was the Electric Factory [yuck].

That’s the problem! The electric factory is the most unelectric place in Philly or perhaps the Great Northeast. Everytime we’ve been there, there’s something wrong with the electricity. Hmmm, change the name…

We saw Nobukazu Takemura there. Thank God the circuit was on for that.
