    Yes! It’s about time someone
    called them by their most
    deserved titles.

    …and we will never forget.

Yeah, I got a little teary eyed when I saw that, so I had to post it. I wonder if James still has his MBV scrapbook.

Funny, they’ve been popping up a lot in my radar as of lately. You gotta feed me some more of their stuff. I have disparate things from “Loveless” and other things. A friend of mine in Brazil has a band named “duelectrum” who loves the Valentines a lot. Looking forward to seeing you folk tonight. Hey, speaking of folk, whatever happened to Folk Implosion?

You, my friend, have just opened the flood gates. I’ll gladly send some more MBV your way. I’ll bring you a disc tonight. As for the Folk Implosion, I believe they finally imploded.

Hows about sending a little valentine love my way down south? I would be ever so greatful my friend. I miss the days of going to NOW HEAR THIS and waiting outside until there was enough room to go in and parouse the latest Nitzer Ebb promos on vinyl. Those again were the days riding around in the black blazer.

Wow, you just blew my mind. Now Hear This! was the prime example of the sad state of the “alternative” music scene in Jacksonville at the the time. There’s something surreal about looking for Nitzer Ebb albums in a 10×10 room at an office park. I’m gonna go put on my bicycle pants and a huge tee-shirt now.

You know I am all about feeling like I am in prison checking out a book when I shop for records. It was the best of times. I seem to be remenising a lot these days. You, Me, Mr. Sexton, Mr. Miller, Mr. Minder and your pal the drill sargent Mr. Nichols? Man my head hurts.

Oh I forgot about the MBV stuff… you think I could obtain some of your inventory?

You remember all of the Publix managers’ names? You’re good. Yeah, I’ll hook up some tracks for you. I’ll do it up mix-tape style.
