I got rid of all the custom comment code. I’m tweaking the template for the site and those comments have always bothered me. There were some problems with the page refresh, and I often get two notifications for each comment posted to the site. It’s enough to make a grown man cry. The commments link will now take you to the item page as it always did, and if you post a comment you’ll get the standard Blogger pop-up. It’s like swallowing a vitamin sideways!
YES!!! artificially important things at last! Love sideways vitamins intake!
Yeah, see you get it Rubens! That’s why you’re so incredibly overweight!
Popcorn shrimp.
You talking about poopcorn skrimp?
Branden, the only thing that I seem to have done different than you is that I declared all my functions in the ‘head’ section of my code, which is where they’re supposed to go I think. Not sure why that could or would make a difference though.
That’s strange because those functions were in the body of the original template. I’ll give it a shot though. Thanks for the tip. Is there a reason why you stripped the “remember me” functionality?
i just wanted the bare minimum, plus i didn’t understand all that cookie syntax so i ditched it
Did you add anything to the original template that you had?
I actually just pulled the comments form and related JavaScript out of the template. I didn’t use anything else. You can see the template I used here.
