I’m guessing that Heather and I spent about 90% of the last six days on our couch. It was definitely rough there for a while. The highlight had to be spending the night in the ER last Tuesday, but my own experience with bloody sputum was a close second! In the midst of all the health delinquency over the past few days, I had the opportunity to catch up on some video games:
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - I love this game, can’t believe it’s taken me this long to pick it up again
- Kirby: Canvas Curse - This game is harder than I want it to be.
- Zelda: The Minish Cap - I’m just starting this and my first impression is that this is a really great looking game for a GBA title.
- Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - I’m loving this as much as Paper Mario, and again, why did it take so long for me to pick it up again?
So as you can see my time frame for picking up a new title is averaging about three years. If I do start playing a game at launch I usually stop for at least a few months before finishing it. The moral of the story is this, get sick and get a sick wife then you can make time for video games!
Glad you are feeling better!!!

Friday might work. I’ll check with my ever-expanding spouse. If Friday doesn’t pan out, what are you guys up to on Saturday?
You’ve come a long way, my haired friend.
I’ve been known to push Vanessa down a flight of stairs or two whenever a major Nintendo tile hits the shelves. Sometimes I feel bad about it, but then I turn on my Wavebird.
Mario RPGs are always ridiculously fun and those two are the best so far! In fact, I’m in the middle of my third time through Paper Mario 2!
Mario RPGs are proving to be the only RPGs that I like. Now that I’m finally playing through The Thousand Year Door I can’t wait for Super Paper Mario.
I remember WKRP! ..and Super paper
sounds totally rad. That’s the one
with the circuits in it, right?
…like for emails you’ll write
with your mind. no wait…
I might have to wreck your bicycle.
